Dr Ravenscroft’s PhD research was done at the John Innes Centre in the United Kingdom, and the Max-Planck-Institut für Züchtungsforschung in Germany. His research focused on the convergence of distinct flowering time pathways in Arabidopsis, and particularly on the flowering-time gene SOC1. He then moved to the United States and worked as a curator on the plant comparative genomics database Gramene, at Cornell University. In addition to his core scientific skills, he also has a keen interest in website development, SEO, and photography. Dr Ravenscroft joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2012.
